Autumn is my favorite time of year. The leaves are changing colors, The air is crisp and Halloween is just around the corner. You get to see all the kids dressed up and full of life! I love it all and my honey knows that. So for my birthday (which happens to fall on Halloween) he wanted to make sure I got to do all my favorite things that involved the season!

 

First he took me on a hike to the Cascades. The beauty it holds! The walk through the woods was amazing, seeing the many colors that the trees had to offer, and then seeing the amazing waterfall at the end of the hike was out of this world! He had packed a picnic lunch and we were able to enjoy it in all of the glory that was bestowed upon us in this beautiful place!

 

The next day he took me pumpkin shopping. I picked out the BIGGEST pumpkin ever! We took it home and drew a scary face and carved it out to set in the window. He knew how much I loved doing this as a child with my dad. It was so sweet!

 

Then it was my birthday. He had bought me a witch's costume and dressed up himself as a vampire! I LOVED IT! We went out that night and hit all the local haunted houses. It was great fun. At one haunted mansion, he had snuck and told the actors that it was my birthday...throughout the entire haunted house they keep saying my name in a scary voice, and then they all got around me at the end and sang in an equally scary voice Happy Birthday! I was scared out of my wits and I loved it! (he knew I would.)

 

We ended our night at on a hay ride enjoying apple cider. The stars were out, the air was crisp, and I was with the one I love. I couldn't ask for a better fall season.
