How to Be Romantic With Balloons

BIRTHDAY BOUQUET

Submitted by: Kathryn Taylor

I don't  like cut flowers.  It's a personal thing and my honey knew if he gave me red roses for my birthday, I would be less than appreciative.

Instead he masterfully created a bouquet of tiny multi coloured balloons, blown up and attached to drinking straws that formed 'stems'.  In the centre
of the bouquet he inserted a heart-shaped balloon filled with helium that had "I love you" embossed front and back.  He encased the balloon-bouquet in
florist's cellophane and tied it with an elaborate bow, then spritzed the 'flowers' with my favourite perfume.  I still have the heart-shaped balloon, ten years on.  It never deflated, and nor does the memory of my wonderful bouquet.
