Once I was dating this man who loved to be outside and we had planned a picnic for us and my kids. A few days before the picnic he fell and dislocated his ankle and had to keep his feet up. So, on the day the picnic was supposed to take place, the kids and I took a basket, some paper plates, plastic silverware, and a tablecloth to his house. We opened all the windows and pulled back the curtains in the room, laid the blanket on the end of the bed and served sandwiches and chips, pickles, tomatoes and watermelon to him in bed. It was interesting and the kids loved it. He said it was the best picnic ever.
