One day my fiance called me to tell me he had what appeared to be strep and wasn't going in to work.  I quickly had an idea!  I told him I was incredibly busy and sorry that he was sick, but I couldn't talk to him because I had so much to do.  

I dashed out the door upon hanging up from him and bought some of his favorite things at the local drug store to spoil him while he was miserable:  candy, soup (to make him feel better), a car magazine (he loves racecars), a yoyo (a kid at heart), cough drops and medicine, tissues, and of course a get well card, among other things.  

He was so surprised when I showed up at his door with a "Get well soon" goody bag, ready to nurse him back to health.
