I was involved in a long distance relationship and had gone to see my boyfriend a couple of weeks before Valentine's Day.  I filled a box with bottle of Champagne, a champagne glass, a plate, a fork and a napkin.  I also put a romantic CD, a movie, a bottle of bubble bath, a bag of microwave popcorn, a bag of Hershey's Kisses in the box, a mylar balloon and a card in the box.  I knew what time he would be getting off work, so I called the Dominos Pizza where he lived and had pizza delivered to him.  

The card gave the instructions:
1.  Call me before opening box
2.  Put on CD
3.  Open Champagne and pour yourself a glass
4.  Wait for surprise (pizza delivery)
5.  Have dinner
6.  Fill tub with bubble bath & relax
7.  Pop popcorn
8.  Put movie on
9.  Eat lots of chocolate
10.  Have a wonderful evening.

I had also bought all of these items for myself and we enjoyed all of the same things together even though we were miles apart.  It was a lot of fun and he thought it was great.
