For Christmas, I had no clue what to get my boyfriend. Whenever I asked him what he wanted, he’d tell me nothing, because I’m not allowed to spend money on him. Well, I got him a nice present, for virtually nothing!
All you need is the following
* a recorder
* a notebook with blank/lined paper
* coloured pens
Now there’s 2 ways you can go about doing this. You can either just record songs, or you can sing them yourself. Personally, I sang all the songs. Even if you can’t sing very well, it makes a beautiful gift because it comes from the heart.
Here’s what I did. I took the recorder and recorded enough songs to fill both sides of the paper. I took songs that mean something to us, or that resemble how I feel about him. In the book, I wrote the lyrics to each song on one page, then on the page directly opposite it, I wrote why I picked this song, why it was special to me, any notes or anything else. I also drew some pictures to make it look nicer.
Some song ideas are:
I Believe by Amanda Marshall
Whatever “Your Song” is
Still The One by Shania Twain
Praise You by Fatboy Slim
I’ll Stand By You by The Pretenders
I’ll Be by Edwin McKain
I Want It That Way by Backstreet Boys
For Long Distance Relationships, some good songs would be:
Right Here Waiting
by Richard Marx
Save Tonight by Eagle Eye Cherry
Slide by Goo Goo Dolls
Don’t Wanna Miss A Thing by Aerosmith
