Recently, we watched the musical "The Scarlet Pimpernel" together.  Since then, Scarlet Pimpernel has been a floral representation of me.  I looked everywhere to find if Pimpernel really existed.  I discovered that, while not a great flower for our climate, it did exist.  I quickly ordered some online and planted it in a pot in the house.  Imagine my wife's surprise when she discovered that there was a constant reminder of her own "Scarlet Pimpernel" in the house.

Though simple flowers, these have come to represent us (in fact, I now send her occasional notes stamped with a simple red flower.)
