VIRTUAL US TIME

I am a national project manager for an IT firm. That means that when I am assigned to a project I come home every 2 weeks. With a 5 year old, 2 year old and a wife expecting our 3rd in November it makes it hard. I purchased web cams for the PC at the house and one for my laptop. We just schedule a video conference and way we go. We can talk and more importantly see each other. My wife and I have been known to do it twice in a night, once with the kids and once just us. It's my "Virtual Us Time". It really seems to help when I'm so far from home.

The other thing we did just recently was to go and see the same movie in different states at the closest time we could find together. Then we would talk about it when it was over that night. We shared what we ate, where we sat and what trailers looked good. It almost made going to a movie alone tolerable.
