PINK IN CHAMPAGNE

My wife and I arrived at a local Mexican food restaurant. She went to the restroom, which was a lucky break for me because I was able to corral a waiter and tell him what I wanted to do.

We had a nice dinner and then I ordered champagne for an after dinner drink. They brought the glasses out and in her glass was a small pink ribbon. Tied to the end of the ribbon was a diamond ring. After she got the ring out I took it, knelt down beside her and asked her to marry me. She said, "Yes" and I slipped the ring on her finger.

As we hugged and kissed I heard the restaurant staff clapping. They had been watching the whole thing. I thanked the restaurant staff for helping me carry out my proposal.
