My husband and I have been married for almost 18 years. He graduated High school in May 1987, we were married in June 1987 and he went to bootcamp in July 1987.  We've been Navy ever since.

 

In all those years he's been gone about half of them in all reality.  With the never-ending ins and outs of sea duty which we've done for a total of 9 1/2 years.  The first 3 1/2 years sea duty we did 3 six month cruises and all the works up that come with that.  Anyway with all the ins and outs and here's and there's it's sometimes hard to be romantic as when we get time together we know it won't be for long.

 

I have a thing I do for when he's on the ship for 6 long months.  I have this black lace bra that I sent to him on his first cruise in 1990 (desert storm) and from then on I douse it in my signature perfume and it shows up somewhere in the middle of that cruise.  He never knows when it will show up or how. 

They usually all open their care packages in front of each other so I put this in an envelope in the box marked FOR YOUR EYES ONLY.  I love to get those emails, phone calls and snail mails of "WOW I got the bra today.  I miss you, I can't wait to get home."  I JUST LOVE IT.  Keep it exciting, keep 'em guessing!
