I am American and my husband is Mongolian. After we married we moved to Mongolia as missionaries.  After we had been there about three weeks or so I had a day where I was a little homesick.  I just missed my familiar things.  My husband quickly went to our room and came back with a copy of my favorite movie!  He said, "I bought this in the States and hid it so that I could give it to you on a day you would first feel homesick."  It cheered me up and made me realize again why I loved him so much and had followed him around the world!
