THE END IS NEAR Submitted by: Anonymous Each year for Christmas, my ex-husband and I used to start opening one stocking gift each night for the seven nights prior to Christmas. The total of the gifts had to equal less than a predetermined amount of money, so it was a challenge to come up with creative, meaningful or fun gifts. Our last Christmas, he bought me a toy gun as a stocking gift. I was so shocked and disappointed I didn't even know how to respond. It was soooo out of character for the type of gifts we usually exchanged, that in hindsight I guess I should have realized the end was near. |
