For Valentine's I rented "The Notebook" and had purchased a very nice attractively bound journal.

 

In the cover I wrote the exact title as in the movie. "The Story of Our Lives"...

 

Then on page one I wrote my Valentines note (you could also do this for any other romantic occasion) and I explained that I wanted to have a date each week to write out our story together in this book.

 

That night we watched the movie and while Davina was still in tears over the romantic way it concluded, I gave her the book, (leave the movie credits going, the music is very romantic and your wife won't be distracted by the credits she'll be reading your note in the book.)

 

I can't tell you how much she loved it. She said it was the best Valentines ever!
