If only I could find the words

To whisper in your ear

The music of my heart undone

Whenever far or near

Remembering the chord

Across my heart

Fingers playing pianoforte

As if in deceptive cadence

Of impressionistic consort

My mind welcomes da capo-dolce

Making my heart soar

Remembrance of the music

Bows crossing with appassionato flare

Creating desired andante

In which within tempo

Is sometimes hard to bear

Often there are phrases

My young soul wants to play

Although experience forces

A fermata

Fear of making grave mistakes

Albeit, I keep asking

Must I keep my muse at bay?

If only I could play the song

Gently upon your ear

The music of my heart undone

Whenever far or near.
