PUT IT IN WRITING
by Michael Webb

I once read a story in the newspaper of a lady who was having marriage
problems. Her husband seemed to be a cold fish.

Someone gave her the suggestion of writing down a list of all the
qualities she appreciates in her husband. She began her list, noting
how he provides for the family. How she feels safe when he is around.
She loved the color of his eyes and many of things about him.

When she finished her list, she put it in his briefcase.

He discovered the list at work and gave her a phone call telling her
he was coming home a little early that night.

Men have needs too and if they are not met, find it difficult to love
in return. We need to know we are appreciated for being men. For
working hard and being strong. We do like hearing that our wives
still find us attractive.

Most of all, men are visual. Women may tell us these things but our
hearing is not always so good. Put it in writing. Seeing is
believing.
