~~~ From the Editor ~~~
We head out later this week for the 61st Azalea Festival in
Wilmington, North Carolina. My long-time subscribers know I’m
an avid gardener and love to visit great gardens anywhere I
can. Eventually I’ll post more photos of my garden on my site.
Many have asked which of the 3 items I mentioned in last weeks tip
was the truth and which was the lie. I was Senior Class President,
I have been to over 30 countries. I am NOT an ordained minister!
Have an exhuberant week. — Michael
~~~ Sponsor ~~~
Every so often I like to donate this ad space to non-profits who
I think are doing something really worthwhile.
I think one of the best Christian magazines out there is Christian
Odyssey. Its beautifully designed and has thought-provoking articles
and simply encouraging ones too. If you live in the U.S. you can
get a subscription at absolutely no cost.
And if you are fed up with the “religious” part of Christianity, then
I think you will definitely find this refreshing.

~~~ Tip of the Week ~~~
THE REAL LOVE GLOVE
by Steve Casey
During the years our children were growing up, we had our share of
hospital visits. During the time spent with children at the hospital,
I often use the latex gloves to make balloon characters to decorate
the children’s rooms.
Recently, I found a way to use one of these latex gloves as a
romantic gift. First, I turned the glove wrong side out. Then I tied
the two middle fingers of the glove together, securing the knot
but not pulling the base of the fingers too close together. Next,
I turned the glove right side out and blew enough air into it to
give it a good ‘hand’ shape. This produced a hand with the little
finger, index finger and thumb out forming the well-known sign
language symbol for “I love you”. I then tied off the glove.
With a felt-tip pen I wrote an ‘I’ and a ‘U’ on the palm of the
hand and placed a heart sticker in between the letters. After
placing a few more heart stickers on the glove, I used double-sided
sticky padding to secure the bottom of the glove to a small ceramic
toothpick holder so that it would stand up appropriately. When my
wife came home from her job at the hospital, I had my ‘love glove’
where she would soon find it.
