I have a little request.  Athena and I will be celebrating our 12th
anniversary on May 27th.  I thought it would be a great surprise if
she could receive postcards, notes and cards from my subscribers
around the world to congratulate her on our first dozen years.

If you would be so kind, send them to:
Athena Webb
PO Box 1567
Cary NC 27512
USA

I’ll let you know what sort of response I get. Please don’t sent ecards/email
anniversary notes as we are on vacation this week and I don’t want my email
inbox to get too overloaded.

Have a super week. — Michael

Keeping your sweetheart’s photo in your wallet

It was really tough to choose a winner from last week’s contest on
FATHER’S DAY IDEAS.  I picked Christy Hodder’s “More Than a Box” as
the winner.  She will be able to pick a prize out of the Prize Vault.
You can read her suggestion and several other terrific ideas at
http://theromantic.com/stories/fathersday/main.htm

This week’s contest is on SUGGEST A CONTEST.  Go to my page of
romantic ideas athttp://theromantic.com/stories/stories.htm and
suggest a topic for a contest that I don’t already have a category
for.  I’ll choose one person as the winner who will be able to shop in
the prize vault at:

You are also welcome to submit a contest idea that doesn’t have
anything to do with romantic stories or ideas.

To enter this week’s contest, send your entry to me via
e-mailto:tipofweek@aol.com

Submissions must be received by Monday to be eligible for the prize.

Charity Dating
by Michael Webb
http://www.ideasfordates.com/

All too often, dates become rather self-centered.  What I want, what
you like, how I look, how much money I spend on you, etc.

For a refreshing change of pace, try out a charitable date (and if
your sweetheart won’t consider it, that should tell you A LOT about
him or her).  Take the focus off the two of you and find ways you can
help and serve others for a few hours.  It will be more rewarding than
you can imagine.

Here are some examples. I’m certain you can come up with more.

* Serve a meal at a homeless shelter * Go to a nursing home and visit
with the residents or sing to them * Visit a children’s hospital and
read stories or do a puppet show for the kids * Write a letter to
someone you both admire, listing their attributes * Go around the
neighborhood and collect food for a food bank * Do some yard work or
house work for an elderly person or someone in need * Make a meal for
someone who is sick

You will learn far more about the person you are with than if you
simply went out to dinner or a movie.
