Some have been asking if they can enter a contest once they have
already won one. Absolutely. Also, if you sent in a proposal story
for a previous contest, you can enter the same story in the RoMANtic’s
Guide to Popping the Question contest on my website. Again, the grand
prize is a 5-night stay at the Radisson Aruba Resort.

Have a fine week. — Michael

HAVING A HEAVENLY MEAL
by Michael Webb

Dining on Cloud Nine. No, that’s not some new restaurant on top of
the Empire State Building or an in-flight meal. It is dining on a
cloud.

We all know that clouds are just tiny droplets of moisture in the air.
What you may not know is that it is so easy to create clouds in your
own dining room. It just takes a little bit of warm water and a few
pounds of dry ice.

To locate dry ice just look in the yellow pages under ice and you will
probably find several suppliers. Five pounds of dry ice will last
about one hour in a tub of warm water. The warmer the water and the
more the block of ice is broken up, the more dense the cloud will
become (and the more quickly it will dissolve).

If you are not going to be using the dry ice immediately, pack it in a
cooler surrounded with ice or stash it in your freezer. Don’t buy it
more than a few hours in advance if possible.

With this trick up your sleeve it is easy to transform your next
dining occasion into a heavenly experience. As a fitting conclusion
to your meal I suggest this dessert.

PUDDING IN A CLOUD

Take two clear dishes or glasses (margarita glasses work very well).
Spread thick whipped cream about 1 inch deep all around the inside of
the glass. Slowly pour your favorite flavor of chilled pudding in the
dish, being careful not to move the whipped cream. When you are done
the pudding will be “floating” in a cloud of cream.
