I want to apologize to my northern neighbors. Canada actually
celebrates its Thanksgiving in October, not November as I indicated in
last week’s issue. And despite my goof, my book has hit #13 on the
list of books purchased by Canadians at Amazon.com

Now is the time many of you start thinking about Christmas gifts for
friends, family, co-workers and loved ones. Please take a look at my
sponsors these next few weeks. They have some great products.

Also, I am running a Christmas special for those who would like to
give my book, The RoMANtic’s Guide, as a gift. The book costs $14.95
(including shipping). But if you purchase 4 or more, I’ll drop the
price to $9.95 and if you buy 10 or more the cost is only $7.95 per
book. I’ll autograph and personalize each one if you would like.
What a great stocking stuffer.

Have a fulfilling week. — Michael

about my book, The RoMANtic’s Guide — *Run, don’t walk, to your
nearest bookstore*?

The prize is an autographed copy of Salsa for Sensitive Souls. This
fun book is chock full of interesting maxims on love and romance.

Entries must be received by Monday, November 27 to qualify for the

Love is a smoke raised with the fume of sighs, being purged, a fire
sparkling in lover’s eyes. Being vexed, a sea nourished with lover’s
tears.

THE SNOW PLAN
by Michael Webb

On Sunday, we received snow here in Raleigh, North Carolina which is
quite unusual for this time of year and caught us a little off guard.

The snow was falling at a steady rate and I knew the lawn and trees
would soon be white. I racked my brain trying to think of a new way
to be creatively romantic.

For as much as I tried, nothing clever would come to mind. I peered
out the window into our backyard and marveled at how snow blanketed
everything in its path. Then I noticed a perfect rectangle of bare
ground underneath the backyard bench.

The brilliant idea came to me. The romantic idea didn t have to do
with the snow, but the absence of snow. I decided that while it was
already too late for this snowfall, I could prepare my romantic
ammunition for the next snowfall or even heavy frost.

The simplest way to execute this plan is to take three large pieces of
posterboard or cardboard. With a utility blade or x-acto knife, cut
out the letter I, a heart and the letter U. Of course you can create
as elaborate a message as you have the time, material and patience.
Place the pieces out on the lawn before you are expecting a snowfall
or a heavy frost.

Hopefully it can be done in the dark of night and then removed early
in the morning before your sweetheart awakes. Be sure to cover over
your trail to the scene of the crime. When your loved one wakes up,
he or she will see the message in all its splendor.
