A few years back I did a really fun focus group assignment. Twelve
us sat in a conference room and the facilitator told us all the
details about a lawsuit of a lady who broke her nose in a wave pool.
After one hour they asked us if we thought the lawsuit had any
merit.
They paid each of us $150 which was a lot cheaper for them than
actually taking it to court. I have done quite a number of focus
groups over the years and they are always quite interesting and
typically pay $50 to $100 an hour.
If you live near a decent size city (75,000 or more), there are
probably a lot of assignments you can get. They also do a lot
online now. Check it out here:

~~~ Tip of the Week ~~~
My Romantic Weapons
by Michael Webb
http://theromantic.com/
I have lots of weapons in the house. My wife knows I have them but
doesnt know exactly what ammo I have. She respects my privacy
and doesnt ask any questions about it.
My romance arsenal is constantly changing. I dont want to tell
you what is currently in my arsenal because Athena does read the
Romantic Tip of the Week. But I will give you some vague ideas
about what I hide there.
Of course I have a revolving supply of cards and materials to
make cards (glue, crayons, comics, etc.).
Occasionally there are Hersheys Kisses or other chocolates in the
box which eventually find their way on to my wifes pillow,
vanity, writing desk or other special place.
In the past, I have hidden my glow in the dark chalk and stars (see
back issues of The Romantic newsletter on how I use them) in my
weapon box while I pondered how and when to best use them. My box
has also been home to Rain-X anti fog (another unique idea first
published in the newsletter and since has been copied around the
world) , silly string, Kool-Aid and several other zany items.
Perhaps the sweetheart in your life doesnt know you receive this
Tip of the Week. Maybe you should print out these e-mails and hide
them with your arsenal for assistance with future romantic
*attacks.*
Start building up your supplies today. I really beef up my supplies
after Valentines each year when the items go on clearance. There
are chocolates, stickers, unique candies, candles, small books and
many, many other items that you can stash away for emergencies.
Time for me to go use up some of my supplies.
