A few years ago I gave my husband of now 15 years a piece of my heart as well as a memory. We have a little hedge row in back of our country home that we cleaned out and placed a walking stone path
and planted some of our favorite bulbs & flowers – bleeding hearts, daffy’s, hostas & other bulbs.
We often have picnics near there with family and friends and often just go sit in the cool shade and overlook the hills. We call this place “Shady Grove”.
It is a very relaxing place to just sit together and listen, snuggle, read or nap. Even our kids love to go and sit in the hammock and read.
One Easter I started a project weeks before. While my spouse was at meetings I began to sketch a picture of our special spot. Since it was Easter
and we are also full of love and joy for the Lord, I felt that this was our own type of “resurrection” place – a place of renewal for spirit and soul. I had it framed and matted.
Needless to say when he opened it he was surprised and loved it. This picture always brings back the spirit of love of our Lord along with the forever renewal of love for each other.
