Since my wife and I met online, over ICQ and were 2800 miles apart, (me in South Florida and her in Central Utah), we talked for quite some time online before I actually had her address. As I always liked to keep flowers on my table, and since I couldn’t send her real ones, I would take pictures of my table flowers and then scan them and send them to her in her early morning e-mails. That way she would open up her e-mail after I got to work and get to start her day off with “fresh” flowers on her desktop.
As it seems to go often, the days that she would wake to these virtual flowers, and my personal messages, were the days when she needed them the most. We have now been married for almost a year, and I still get her flowers, usually on the days that she ends up needing them the most.
