A WEEK OF ROMANCE
submitted by: Kim
My husband is in the Navy and works long hard hours when on Sea Duty and is gone away from home for months and months at a time. A few years ago, I celebrated Valentine’s week leading up to Valentine’s day which was on a Friday that year. While he was at work (in port) I did the following:
On Monday I covered his windshield with big red hearts for all to see from all over the parking lot
On Tuesday I hung hearts all over the inside of his truck it looked like raining hearts
On Wednesday I spelled out messages on his dashboard with Conversation hearts and put handmade valentine’s on his steering wheel and heart stickers on his rear view that said things like hug me or I love you etc. ( he left those there for 2 years until he sold the truck)
By now the guys at work are saying I’m going out to see what Kim did to your truck today.
On Thursday I delivered a package of hand made valentine’s from me and our little girl. We added a candy filled plastic heart we decorated ourselves and lots of kissy stuff, lips etc. We took it to the guard shack and had them call up to his command and say they had a delivery for ……………. he then had to come pick up a plain brown paper box addressed to him on typewritten paper, and opened it in front of his Shop. They talked about that for some time. WE also left a smiley faced balloon on his antenna.
On Friday I hired a babysitter and rented a Suite on the Chesapeake Bay which they let me in early to decorate it up with candles, music etc. and then I left him a very sexy basket of goodies in his truck. Massage oils etc. You get the idea…. and then when he got home from work I took him out to dinner. He had no idea of the room. I drove him up to the Hotel. And then we walked on the beach to watch the sunset and on the way back up the pathway from the beach I said man I hate to drive all the way home and he said me too and I said I wish we had a room here and he said me too and SURPRISE we did.
I gave him a full body massage by candle light and well that’s all I can share about that!
