This past week week my hosting company lost about 300 pages from my
site.  My server failed and although I had paid them to do daily
backups they could only restore the site using a six month old backup.
So, if you are looking for something on my site that used to be there,
it might be missing.  I have been working feverishly to try to
recreate some of the most important pages but unfortunately much is
lost forever.

The good news is that I haven’t lost the things that are most
important to me.

Wax On, Wax Off

Here is a clever way to give your sweetheart a small piece of jewelry
(ring, silver charm or locket).  Get a sizeable pillar candle and
either melt off or cut off about an inch off the top (don’t cut the
wick however).

Place a circle of stiff tape or aluminum foil around the top of the
candle, sticking up about an inch above.  Then put the piece of
jewelry on top of the candle and slowly pour melted wax on top of it until it is suitably covered.

Now plan a romantic evening when you will have plenty of time to have
the candle melt down for your beloved to discover the gift that lies
beneath the wax.
