Athena, Ashton and I returned from our trip to Kenya last night.  We
had a very enjoyable time.  Because of our trip, there was no issue
sent last week.

Thanks to everyone who contributed towards the little fire fund I set
up to help my neighbors who lost so much in their fire a couple of
weeks ago and didn’t have any renters insurance.  To date, my
subscribers have given over $700 towards the cause.  It will go
towards clothing, bedroom furniture and to hopefully replace some of
the musical instruments the children lost.  If you still want to
contribute, I’ll leave the link up for another 10 days.

Have a glorious week. — Michael

Charlene Mattel received the special prize package I put together for
the last contest from all who donated to the fire fund.

This week’s contest is on FOOD.  Besides picnics, how have you used
food in a creative/romantic way?

The winning story will receive a special media preview copy of the 442
page great cookbook, A Real American Breakfast by Cheryl and Bill
Jamison.

Send your story via e-mailto:tipofweek@aol.com

Submissions must be received by Tuesday to be eligible for the prize.

Iron On Love
by Michael Webb
http://theromantic.com/

Computers are getting more amazing by the day.  Here is something fun
(and romantic) you can try.

1. Go to a computer supply store and buy a packet of iron-on paper

2.  Using a digital camera, take a photograph of your children,
yourself or other loved ones.  If you don’t have a digital camera, you
can use a scanner for this idea or take a photograph into a photoshop
to be put on disk.

3.  Open up the photograph on your computer and print it onto a sheet
of iron-on paper.  If you want a caption to go along with the
photograph, print that out too.

4. Take a pillowcase, t-shirt or other cloth and iron on the image.

5. Give the gift in a fun way!
