Thanks to those who signed up for my new e-zine and told me
how wonderful it was *blush.* Two of the most popular sections
on my website are the love letters and the love poetry.
Thanks for all your support and feedback.
Have a love-ly week. — Michael

Amber Woodall of Corryton, Tennessee won last week’s contest on ways
to make weddings romantic. I have actually seen her idea done and it
had a powerful effect. Her idea is “Special Show” and you can read it
and the other ideas at
http://theromantic.com/stories/wedding/main.htm .
This week’s contest is on GIFTS UNDER $10. Some people have the
unfortunate notion that more expensive the gift, the more romantic it is.
Usually, it is just the opposite. The less expensive gifts often have
a lot more meaning and sentiment and that is the heart and core of
romance. So, tell me, what is the most romantic gift you have given
or received that cost under $10 to buy/make?
Winning entry gets a copy of 300 Incredible Things for Travelers on

BREAKING OPEN THE CHAINS OF LOVE
by Sarah Watters
My boyfriend (now fiance) was going out of the country for a four
month overseas studies program. A couple of nights before he left, he
made me a paper chain out of construction paper.
Each link had how many days he was gone and how many days until he
returned. They also had sweet messages like: “I’m praying for you
today”, or “Think of me when you brush your hair”. About 15 times
they said “See (a specific friend) for a special surprise”. When I
would find that person, they would have a little gift for me. I
opened the link at the moment when I missed him most.
I never opened one early. That chain made those 100 days so much
easier.
