~~~ From the Editor ~~~
Now that the house we are building is finally getting going, we will
probably stay in town for most of the remainder of the year. We
might take some short local excursions but I doubt we will be doing
our usual gallivanting around the globe or across the country 🙁
From everything that I have read about having a house built, the
number one suggestion is to visit the construction site as often as
possible and I plan on doing that almost every day. Sure, it will
be a bit of a bother some times, but I think it will be worthwhile
in the end.
Have a close week. — Michael
~~~ Tip of the Week ~~~

Breakfast of Champions
by Michael Webb
http://www.TheRomantic.com/

It was a tradition in our house that on Mother’s Day the family
would prepare breakfast and bring it to mom in bed. Unfortunately
for mom, Mother’s Day came along only once a year. I don’t see how
one anyone who cleans the house, makes the meals, does the laundry,
runs the errands 364 days a year can be rewarded just by one day of
bringing her breakfast in bed.

I have heard of cases where a husband has made it a ritual to make
breakfast or brunch every Saturday or Sunday for the family to give
his wife at least one day a week to sleep late. Is it too much to
ask to bring your wife breakfast in bed once a month? You don’t
even have to know how to cook to do it. Here are some ideas of
simple menu items you could put together for a much-appreciated
breakfast in bed. If you are able to create a more elaborate meal,
all the better.

If you bring her a breakfast that you have created, no matter how
simple, you will be a champion in her eyes.

Cereal with fresh fruit

Toast or English Muffin with butter and jam

Half an orange or grapefruit

Bagel with Cream Cheese

Yogurt with fresh fruit

Coffee/tea in a nice cup

Orange juice served in a crystal glass

A chocolate truffle

** To make this breakfast look more elaborate, include a flower in a
vase, a cloth napkin, and decorate the plate with a sprig of herb or
a thin slice of fruit. You can put a handwritten card or note on
the tray for added impact.

(Ladies – forward this newsletter to all the married men you know)
