F R O M T H E E D I T O R

Now that I’ve finished switching over to using a new list service I
have been making a little progress in updating my website
( www.TheRomantic.com). Many of you have requested to read some of the
winning entries from the weekly contests. I will be posting some of
them as well as some of the non-winners on my site. I will putting in
the authors name only. Perhaps the state/country too. I do want to
protect your privacy since everyone has access to the website.

I’m adding a new section this week called “It’s the little things.”
It highlights some of the simple ways we can show how much we care.
It’s towards the end of the issue after the information on the newsletter.

PUZZLE YOUR SPOUSE

If you are searching for a gift or simply want an activity that you
and your significant other can do together, consider puzzling. I am
the first to admit that just sitting down and talking can get boring
rapidly.

One way to keep conversations alive while not going out of
your mind is to bond over a puzzle. Not only will the time spent
together talking be of importance, the sense of team accomplishment
when the puzzle is complete can be rewarding too. Many people enjoy
puzzling because it usually relieves stress. However, I did have one
puzzle that was nearly all black that caused a lot of stress.

If you would like to put a romantic twist on this idea, you can go to a craft
or toy store and buy a blank puzzle. You can draw your own message or
picture on the puzzle and then take it apart before presenting it to
your sweetheart. Another source for puzzles are photo developing
companies that will turn photographs into puzzles. I had one made for
Athena with our photo on it and mailed it to her piece by piece.
