For those who were wondering, Athena and I are just fine from the
Hurricane that blew through North Carolina. Most of the damage is to
the east of us. Thanks for the notes.

Kevin Wigglesworth was the winner of last week’s contest. I am
uploading his story tonight onto the Romantic with Flowers category of
the website (under Romantic Ideas section).

This week’s prize is a copy of Love Me…Loves Me Not. It’s an interesting
boxed set of cards, journal, personality test to help you discover who is
right for you. You can buy it for $24.95 in bookstores.

It will go to the best idea/story dealing keeping romance alive when you
are miles away from your sweetheart.

Your e-mail needs to be received by Monday, September 27.

Do you have a garage with an automatic door opener?  Have I got
a clever idea for you.

The next time you really want to surprise your husband/wife as
they come home, go into the garage and tie a three foot string
onto the bottom handle of the garage door. On the other end of the
string attach a card or lightweight (non-breakable) gift. When they
hit the opener, the card will magically rise from the floor to greet
them as they arrive.

Now, if you would like to go over the top with this idea, tie balloons,
streamers and other festive items to the bottom of the door too.
You could even create a banner that would run the entire length
of the garage if you were up to it.
