Tonight I met with 9 other dads to begin our “tribe” for the YMCA
Guide/Princess program. If you have a 1st grader, I’d highly
recommend it. It is one of the best bonding experiences you can
possibly have with your son or daughter. It is probably the single
best gift you could ever give them.

Have you ever considered going to the library for a fun and
romantic date? You know, they are not just for checking out books.

Think about going to the local library for your next date to do
some of the following:

* Find a newspaper on microfiche from the day each of you were
born. Read the headlines to each other.

* Go to the children’s section and see if you can locate some of
your favorite books when you were a kid and read them out loud
(quietly of course).

* See if there are any romantic records or movies that you can
review or check out.

* Search the computer and see if there are any authors who share
your name. Take a look at their books.

* Go to the travel section and plan your dream vacation.

* Check out The RoMANtic’s Guide or other books that might enhance
the romance in your relationship. If they don’t carry my book,
ask to fill out a form to request that they do 🙂

* Plan ahead and tuck love notes in various books throughout the
library and give your sweetheart clues to find them.
