~~~  From the Editor ~~~
We are traveling again – to a famous U.S.   city. Famous for
what? Recently they became known as the water park capital  or the
world. How one place can have so many water parks I don’t know
but  we are staying at a place with one of the largest indoor water
parks ever  constructed. Our kids, of course, are thrilled.
Guess where we are and  you could win this week’s contest. Details
below.
Have a thrilling  week.  —  Michael
Important Relationship Advice
I was tired of  seeing friends and family get married to people they
barely knew, even though  they dated quite a while (and later got
divorced). So, I put together over  1000 questions that every couple
MUST ask each other at some point in their  relationship (hopefully
before engagement – but during marriage is VERY  helpful too).
Studies have shown that couples that know each other on  this level
are 83% less likely to have the problems that lead to  divorce.
CREATING A CULTURAL CALENDAR
by    Michael   Webb
http://www.TheRomantic.com/
No matter how  small or large of a city you live in, you are bound
to hear people with the  same complaint: “there is nothing to do
here.” When Athena and I moved from  one of the largest cities in
the U.S. to Raleigh, North Carolina, you would  expect us to say
the same thing. Hardly.
If one knows where to look  and if you look often enough, there is
always something going on  somewhere.  When we moved here, Athena
and I began keeping a “cultural  calendar” since we were not yet
familiar with all the festivals and events  that were available.
When I read the Sunday paper and notice something  interesting coming
up I cut it out, and then put the details on our calendar.  We do the
same thing with the weekly entertainment papers we read. I  asked
to be put on the mailing list for the various museums and  concert
promoters in the area and they each send me a yearly  calendar.
Often, some of the more interesting events can’t afford a  large
advertisement (or don’t even need to advertise) so it is  important
to take a look at the listings of upcoming events printed in  the
local paper. By writing down these events there is never an excuse
of  “there is nothing to do around here” and we don’t miss the shows
we really  want to see.
There is probably 10 times more events on our calendar than  we
would ever have the time to do. Like a Boy Scout, a good romantic
is  always  prepared.
