~~~ From the Editor ~~~
We have had a sudden drop in temperatures and the right on cue, the
glorious North Carolina leaves are about to make their magical
transformation which usually peaks the first week in November where
we live. We will be taking lots of short romantic road trips in the
area just to gaze at God’s marvelous creation. Yes, driving in a
car can be a great date.
Have a sensational week. — Michael
One of the most romantic trips that Athena and I have ever taken was
a press tour of Portland Maine during the winter. This charming
town does up the holidays in a big way with lights everywhere,
carolers on several corners and sleigh rides through the town. It
had the nearly perfect “Christmas Village” feel.
While you might not be able to give your sweetheart such a trip, may
I suggest a personalized romance novel created for you with the two
as the leading couple in a book in just such a holiday setting.
*Season’s Greetings, Season’s Love* is just one of 19 romance novels
you can have personalized with dozens of your personal details.
Order now and beat the holiday rush:
~~~ Contest ~~~

Last weeks contest was on *Romantic Love Poems*. The contest was
not for the best love poem, but how you incorporated a poem in a
romantic or creative way into your relationship. I think you will
find one of the entries quite creative indeed. I made it this
week’s tip.

You can read the remainder of them here:
http://theromantic.com/stories/love-poems/main.htm

This week’s contest is to vote on the above stories. I have posted
13 really great ones on the site. Read them and then vote for your
favorite.

The winning story will win a trip to the prize vault and so will
THREE people who cast votes.

~~~ Tip of the Week ~~~
Strip Poetry
by Anonymous
http://www.TheRomantic.com/
My wife and I were trying to find something to do one afternoon
that was inexpensive and didn’t require going any
where. She and I agreed to writing a love poem to
pass the afternoon and rekindle our affection for each
other.
We turned this into a game where each of us would add
a line or stanza to the evolving poem. We made sure
to write down the poem as it was being created, so we
could remember what the poem was about and what each
other was thinking.
The poem started off kind of prudish with plain-Jane
sentences without any romantic innuendoes, but that
changed when we added a stipulation to remove an item
of clothing for each word less than what the other had
added to the poem.
By the time we ended the poem, we didn’t have an item
of clothing remaining on. The poem was almost a
notebook in length.
We were glad that we had created the poem together and
did this form of poetry at least once a month.
How strange it is that the words flowed easier when
the other had less clothes.
