NOT FOR THE DOGS

I served in the air force from 1984 – 1990 (long before I met my girlfriend). Last year for a Valentine’s Day gift I gave her my service dog tags. She was thrilled with such a personal gift; especially one that I had worn over my heart and that had my name on it.

She currently lives in NJ (will be moving here this summer) but she has worn them ever since I gave them to her. She has sent me numerous pictures of her with my dog tags (and my name) around her neck and over HER heart; looking at those pictures has really helped me cope with the distance between us.
