WHEN YOU WERE BORN

I gave one of my favorite gifts just a few days ago to a wonderful man I’ve been seeing, and he loved it.

I went to the local library, found the microfilm section… looked up the local paper from the day he was born, and printed up many pages from the microfilm, highlighting the interesting things that happened. I also was able to get the front page of Time magazine from his birthday week.

I pasted all of these in a notebook, and wrote “On this day, something magical happened…” on the cover, and “You were born!” on the inside cover. He loved it, and it cost less than $2.00 in library photocopy fees. What a bargain!
