The Romantic.com

Each year for our anniversary my wife and I get the same room at the Mendenhall Inn that we had on our wedding night. We have dinner at the restaurant and spend the next day at Longwood Gardens armed with a camera to take a bunch of romantic pictures. We have a photo album with pictures from each of our anniversaries and it is fun to look back and remember.

Each year I also try to make the arrival at the hotel unique. For our fourth year I arrived early and set up her wedding gown on a dress maker’s mannequin. I set up a CD player with our song on it and kept the remote control in my pocket. I set out some hummus and pita slices and sparking grape juice and then went to pick up my wife. As we walked in the room, I used the remote to start the music. She was so surprised to see her wedding gown all set up in the room. We danced to our song and have wonderful memories of the day.
