Because my boyfriend and I are student workers in our university’s chemistry department we each have our own mail box in the main office. One of my favorite romantic things to do is to leave little love notes (written on post-its) stuck to the bottom of his mail box. (That way if our boss pulls the papers out of the box to check for anything, the love note won’t be noticed.)
I don’t write just a typical love note though, (such as “hey handsome, I Love you!”) Instead I use a chemical reference to get my point across like “To my mad scientist, You are the Bunsen burner to my beaker of water, love your lab assistant…” It makes him smile during the long days he spends preparing chemicals for my laboratory groups.
