My man drives a van all day, beginning early in the morning. He listens to the radio while he works. Whenever the radio station plays “our song” – Elvis’s “Can’t Help Falling in Love” – he calls me at work on the phone and sings to me along with the radio.
The radio station he listens to has a feature called “The Intimate Moment,” in which they take letters from listeners to dedicate requested songs to the recipient.
I was traveling for my job, so the week before I left I sent the radio station a letter asking that they play our song for him on the first day I’d be gone. It was a way to let him know I was thinking of him while he worked, even though I wasn’t near.
