FROM A FATHER’S HEART

Could be romantic… or just plain cute.  One year when I was growing up, my Dad wouldn’t let us in the kitchen for days before Valentine’s Day. No one knew what was going on.

It turns out, that year, my Dad made a box of various freehand chocolate hearts that he gave to me, my sister and my mother.  It was one of the sweetest gifts I ever received. For each of us, he included our favorite candies in the hearts.

Knowing now how easy it is to melt chocolate… it could be inexpensive and romantic to do for someone special.
