AFRICAN SNOW

We live in Johannesburg South Africa so you can well imagine, my husband and I never have a snowy Christmas unless we are in Europe. He has often expressed the wish to have a snowy Christmas. Last year, during our coldest winter month which is July, I took him up to a ski resort high up in the Lesotho mountains where we do get enough snow and had a Christmas dinner for two in July. I produced all the trimmings and the dishes one really relishes at Christmas, including a plum pudding and some mistletoe which I asked someone to bring out from England, to give him his very own snowy Christmas in Africa.
