Many flowers are edible and some even taste good! Try surprising your sweetheart by adding an appealing combination of the following flowers to a tossed salad or dip in sugar and decorate a cake.
nasturtiums
violets
pansies
marigolds
impatiens
roses
Also, squash blossoms can be stuffed with fillings and fried for an interesting appetizer OR sauteed lightly and added to an omelet with another blossom as a garnish for a romantic breakfast in bed.
