When my husband and I were getting married, I thought it would be a romantic tribute to all of the successful marriages in our family to have their pictures at our wedding. We found old wedding photos of my grandparents, parents, siblings etc… and blew them up and put them on poster board and indicated who they were and the date.
In addition, we took family photos of all those we love and included them as well on our posters. They were displayed at our rehearsal dinner and again at our wedding. Not only did our family love it, but the guests did as well. The sentiment of having generations our families love with us at such an important event as the joining of our lives felt so special to us. My grandparents are deceased, so I was able to have them there in my own way. It was a very unique, creative and romantic photographic way to express our love.
