A SENIOR MOMENT

all what do you need

During my sophomore year of high school I dated a senior who happened to go to another school. His name was Adam. Nobody really knew this guy, he was a sort of mystery to all of my friends.

I had known him for a couple of months before we actually started dating. He was in a performance with me and we had a connection immediately, but neither of us did anything about it.

Finally, we saw a movie together and that was the start of something amazing. Adam was always incredibly sweet and romantic, but there is one incident that I remember most. It was a Wednesday like any other, and I went to my first period class.
As I walked in, I found a rose carefully placed on my desk. It was a vibrant red rose, and I had no idea who left it there for me.

Throughout the course of the day, I found roses on my desk in every other one of my classes, and while walking through the hallways, random students would come up to me and hand a rose. By the end of the day I had well over a dozen roses in my arms, and no idea what was going on.

Finally in my last class of the day, right before the bell was about to ring, I see Adam walk into the classroom. In his hands he was holding a single white rose (he knew this was my favorite kind) and a piece of paper. He walked to where I was sitting, handed me the rose, and got down on his knees. He started to read a poem he had written for me that was one of the most beautiful things I have ever heard. It had all of our wonderful memories in it, and the last line asked me to be his date for his senior prom. I was pretty much in tears by the end, and of course I said yes.

I never found out how he arranged all of this or how he knew where I would be throughout the course of the day, but this is a memory that will stay in my mind forever.
