Using Songs

KNOCKED OVER BY A WAVE FILE

One night, during a very long chat session, we were talking about all the things that we would like to do together, when we met in person.  My sweetie confessed that the one thing he wanted to do most was simply hold me in his arms and dance with me. He said he was even listening to the perfect song…”A Whiter Shade of Pale” by Procol Harum.

After a few more minutes of chatting he said, “Check your email”.  I did, and he had sent me a wave file of that song.  So we got to sit “together”, and listen to it, our own private moment together, though we were hundreds of miles apart.  And when we finally did meet in person, one of the first things we did, on our first evening together, was put on that song, and dance together.

Even now, three years later, whenever we only have a few moments to do something sweet and romantic for the other, we will put on that song, and dance together in the living room.
