My husbands 31st birthday is this month and I have a romantic surprise planned for him that is sure to blow his socks off!
While he received his “official” gift earlier in the month – a very unromantic printer – I wanted to do something special on the day of his birthday even though he has technically received his gift already. He thinks we are simply going out for dinner at a nice restaurant and that is all. What he doesn’t know is that I have made reservations at a luxury hotel near the restaurant and after dinner I will excuse myself from the table to go use the powder room and I will simply “disappear” making my way to the hotel to prepare for the evening.
Our waiter will deliver an envelope w/the (prepaid) check that says “This letter serves as notification that your Birthday Adventure has officially begun. Your mission – should you choose to accept it – is to locate your missing wife. Necessary tools shall be provided along your journey. Your first clue awaits you in your vehicle. Be aware that if you are successful in your mission, you will be richly awarded.”
In the vehicle will be another clue, along w/a romantic gift to guide him along the way. If he follows every clue he will be directed back to our home (very near the restaurant) to pack, then to a series of places (bakery, coffee shop) to pick up small presents and more clues. The final clue will direct him to the hotel where the front desk staff will give him a room key and big bouquet of balloons. They are also instructed to call me before he comes up to the room.
In the meantime I will have the room all prepared with candles, champagne, rose petals on the bed, bubble bath drawn, etc and be wearing a brand new sexy “outfit” that I know he will love. It will be an evening to remember!
