We live in North-central Pa, which at times can be very snowy. Being the creative person that I am, I like to surprise my husband with all sorts of “little inexpensive” ways to remind him how much he means to me and how the good Lord has blessed me every day with him in my life.
One Valentines day on a Saturday, My husband took our son to his regular Saturday am bowling league. I preplanned this so I scurried outside in the fresh snow & to the amazement of our older daughter, I proceeded to “walk” a gigantic heart with a arrow thru it in our sloping front yard so that you can see it for about 1 mile as you come to our house and up our driveway. Then I used red spray paint and painted the outline that i had just walked and in the middle painted I Love You! I then scurried down to the bowling alley to watch our sons games. I followed them home and the look on my sons and my husbands face was priceless. I couldn’t have paid for a card that gave that much love & surprise to him. Even our neighbor remarked that it was wonderful. The only drawback however was I spray painted when the wind was slightly blowing and my fur mukaluk boots now have a slight pink/red cast to it – but this always serves as a reminder of the winter warming heart in our front yard to tell my spouse & the world how much I love him.
