I made a Valentine’s Day card for my fiance that lasted two months. Our anniversary is on April 14th and obviously V-Day in on the Feb. 14th. 🙂
I bought a clear box and some construction paper in different colors. I cut all the construction paper in to index card sized pieces so they would fit inside the box. I also decorated the clear box with glow in the dark puffy paint. On each piece of construction paper I wrote “I love you today because…” on one side and on the other side I would write one reason why I loved him–maybe some words from a song or a poem that would describe the way I felt or have something to do with us, or some silly inside joke. For example the first one I gave him said…(from the Martina McBride song) …”even if the sun refused to shine, even if romance ran out of rhyme, you would still have my heart til the end of time. You’re all I need, my love, my valentine.”
I gave Jason the decorated box with one of those cards in it for V-day. He was a little confused, but everyday I made him one and would leave it somewhere for him to find. I gave him one everyday for two months until our anniversary. He still has my box and it’s been three years since I gave it to him.
