Our 11th Wedding Anniversary was just around the corner so I went and had glamour shots done and made my husband a calendar. The way my husband talked about how romantic our Anniversary night was going to be I was really anxious to see what he had chosen. The day is finally here, I lined up a sitter (grandma of course), delivered the kids, ran home made dinner and filled the house with candles.
When he walked through the door he had this look of “uh oh” on his face. I didn’t understand why until….My husband gave me a gift of “Bed – in a – Bag” for our 11th Wedding Anniversary. The past few years he had gone to this place that sold cheesy Missouri souvenirs, so I thought he had really put some thought into this year.
The fact that it was bed sheets really didn’t bother me as much as the fact that it wasn’t even the size of our bed… nor was it made for a waterbed. I acted like it was nice, but it really broke my heart. The next day I went to a popular discount store to get groceries and what did I see as soon as I walked through the doors, but a huge display of these “bed in a bag”. I was very disappointed, however I resided to the fact that not all people like to shop, and he at least he made an effort.
